Last Updated: March 2026

ArdentAI, Inc. ("Ardent," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you visit our website, use our platform, or interact with our services. Please read it carefully before using our services.

1. Introduction

1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, users, and customers of the Ardent platform, including our website, CLI tools, APIs, and related services. 1.2 Ardent is responsible for the collection and processing of personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information. When you create an account or subscribe to our services, we collect information such as your name, email address, company name, and other details you provide during registration.

2.2 Database Connection Information. To provide our database branching services, we collect and store connection metadata you provide, including database host addresses, port numbers, database names, and authentication credentials. These credentials are encrypted at rest and used solely to provision and manage database branches on your behalf.

2.3 Customer Database Content. When you connect a database to Ardent, we replicate selected tables and data to create isolated database branches. You control which tables are included through publication and table selection settings. Replicated data is used exclusively to provide the branching service and is not accessed, analyzed, or used for any other purpose.

2.4 Usage Information. We collect data related to how you interact with the platform, including branch creation and lifecycle events, compute hours, storage usage, CLI and API activity, and general usage patterns.

2.5 Payment Information. Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. Ardent does not store full credit card or payment details.

2.6 Communications. We collect information shared when you contact us for support, feedback, or general inquiries.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve the Ardent platform, including provisioning database branches, managing compute resources, and delivering the core branching service. 3.2 We use your information to manage subscriptions, billing, and invoicing, including tracking compute hours and storage usage. 3.3 We use your information to respond to support requests and user communications. 3.4 We use your information to send important service-related updates and optional product communications. You may unsubscribe from optional communications at any time. 3.5 We use your information to maintain platform security, monitor for unauthorized access, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Customer Database Data

4.1 Ardent acts as a data processor with respect to the database content you connect to our platform. You remain the data controller and owner of your data at all times. 4.2 We replicate only the tables and data you explicitly select. Data not included in your configured publication or table selection never leaves your infrastructure. 4.3 Replicated data is stored in isolated, encrypted database branches and is used solely to provide the branching service. We do not access, mine, train on, or sell your database content. 4.4 Database branches are ephemeral by default and are automatically scaled down and cleaned up according to your configured lifecycle policies. 4.5 You may request deletion of all replicated data and branches at any time by disconnecting your database or contacting us directly.

5. Sharing of Data

5.1 Ardent does not sell personal data or customer database content. 5.2 Data may be shared with trusted infrastructure providers strictly to deliver the platform, including cloud hosting providers for compute and storage, database infrastructure providers for branch provisioning, and payment processors for billing. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data. 5.3 Personal information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect Ardent's legal rights.

6. Data Retention

6.1 Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide our services or meet legal and regulatory requirements. 6.2 Customer database content is retained only for the duration of active branches. When branches are deleted or connections are removed, replicated data is permanently destroyed. 6.3 You may request deletion of your personal data or account by contacting us directly.

7. Security

7.1 Ardent implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data and customer database content against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encryption of credentials at rest and in transit, network isolation of database branches, role-based access controls, and IP-restricted replication connections. 7.2 Database replication connections are read-only. Ardent cannot write to your source database. 7.3 While we take security seriously, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials and database connection details confidential.

8. Your Rights

8.1 Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. 8.2 You may disconnect your database and delete all associated branches and replicated data at any time through the platform. 8.3 To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, please contact us at privacy@tryardent.com.

9. Updates to This Policy

9.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with a revised effective date.
